Ways YOU can help:
1. Adopt from a shelter or rescue organization

3. ID your pet
4. Support your local shelter
October 7th is National Pet Obesity Awareness Day
Keeping animals lean allows for more thorough physical exams of the abdomen and internal organs. Overweight animals are more prone to arthritis/joint problems, diabetes, heart disease, difficulty breathing, digestive disorders, overall decrease of immune function, etc.
